Urban Angel Profile of the Day: Wendy Raquel Robinson – Amazing Grace Conservatory

Whether it is acting, dancing, directing, writing, producing or choreographing, WENDY RAQUEL ROBINSON has tenaciously striven for excellence in her career as an artist. This vivacious cum laude graduate of Howard University received her BFA in Drama and is resilient in following her dreams of entertaining. Throughout her professional career as an actor, she has found success in the television, film, and theatre.

Today’s Urban Angel Profile is Wendy Raquel Robinson – Amazing Grace Conservatory!

Best known for her roles as high school principal Regina Grier on the WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show, and as sports agent Tasha Mack on the CW comedy-drama The Game, this Los Angeles-born actor made her acting debut in 1993 on an episode of Martin. That same year she guest starred on episodes of Thea and The Sinbad Show. In 1995, Robinson co-starred on the short-lived NBC sitcom Minor Adjustments, starring Rondell Sheridan. The following year she won the role of Regina “Piggy” Grier in the sitcom The Steve Harvey Show which aired for six seasons on The WB Television Network. After the series ended its run in 2002, she appeared on the comedy series Cedric the Entertainer Presents and also made guest appearances on The ParkersAll of Us, and The New Adventures of Old Christine. In 2006, Robinson began portraying the role of Tasha Mack, in the CW sitcom The Game.

Robinson has also appeared in several films including The Walking Dead, followed by roles in A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996), Ringmaster (1998), Two Can Play That Game(2001), and Rebound (2005).

In 1995, ROBINSON co-founded the Amazing Grace Conservatory (AGC), a theatrical training institute in South Central Los Angeles. Dedicated to building self-esteem through self- expression, AGC is a highly respected training ground for young actors and performers. In addition to her work in the community, for the past four years, ROBINSON also serves as the Celebrity Spokesperson for the Los Angeles Black Business Expo & TradeShow. She is the recipient of various honors to include the Howard University Distinguished Alumni Award, Disneyland & KJLH Proven Achiever Award, and a Woman of Courage Honoree. Robinson currently resides in Los Angeles California.
